Cesar Barrientos - Owner / Lead Instructor

Cesar is the owner and lead instructor of the Indiana Baseball Academy.  Cesar has been teaching the game of baseball for the past 20 years.  In 2005, he founded IBA and is knowledgeable and experienced instructor in all areas of baseball and softball including hitting, fielding, pitching, and catching.  

Jason Wuerfel - Hitting / Catching Instructor

Jason is the Vice President and Director of  Baseball Operations for the Traverse City Beach Bums in the Frontier League, where he served as hitting coach in 2008 and bench coach in 2009.  He also managed the Butler (PA) BlueSox in the Prospect Collegiate League in 2009 and plans to return for 2010 (www.butlerbluesox.net).  Jason played collegiately at the University of Michigan and won the 2003 Wolverine Award for Spirit and Leadership.  After college, Jason played professionally in the Frontier League and founded the Beach Bums Baseball Academy and Five Tool Prospects, an online baseball community (www.fivetoolprospects.com).  He enters his 6th year of giving hitting and catching lessons in 2009.

Laura Schlensker - Softball / Events Coordinator

Laura played collegiately at DePauw University where she earned ESPN Academic All-American honors.  Laura’s incredible offensive output in 2007 included a .394 batting average, .559 slugging percentage, 37 RBI, and 71 total bases.  All together, Laura’s name appears twelve times in the DePauw single season record books and her name is near the top of nearly every offensive career record.  

Steve Spolyar - Pitching Instructor

Steve is the pitching coach of the Lebanon Merchants, a semi-pro team that plays in the Midwest Prospects League.  In 2009, Steve helped guide the Merchants to a 14-4 record and 1st place finish in the Midwest Prospects League South Division.  Steve graduated from Southern Indiana University where he played baseball for four years and led SIU to their first ever NCCA baseball tourney.

Joe Milharcic

Joe has spent the last 14 years as a coach.   He spent four years as a varsity assistant at Lebanon High school and for the last six years he has been the varsity assistant coach at Bishop Chatard High School where he is also a Social Studies teacher.

Brian Grifitts - Sports Performance Coach

Brian has a background in exercise science. He is a certified Personal Trainer and Sports Performance Specialist. Working with athletes in sports such as baseball, football, basketball, soccer, tennis, softball, volleyball, track, etc. has given Brian hands on experience in multiple sports over the past 10 years. Brian is continually studying the human performance industry to keep up with the latest research and training techniques. This dedication to his career enables him to bring this knowledge back to his clients and get them the results they deserve. Brian spends his free time with his family, wife Christine and 2 children Brady(3) and Ava(1).
